Program Manager - Be a part of the team that provides affordable housing opportunities to New Mexicans statewide. New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) has an opening for a Program Manager. This position is responsible for managing Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other planning and reporting requirements, regulatory compliance activities as well as assisting with research and development activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, public policy or public administration preferred or a minimum of two years of experience managing federal programs. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe acrobat.  Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Operate standard office equipment, such as computer keyboards and monitors, copiers, scanners, and telephone. Familiarity with specialized software including IDIS, Sage and Osnium. Read, analyze, and interpret standards, policies, procedures, and interpretation of federal guidelines and regulations.  Detail oriented, ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, and analytical thinking skills. Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Have exceptional Excel Software Knowledge. Ability to keep accurate records and work with mathematical concepts. Must have good time management skills and be able to meet schedules and deadlines. Relate to and interact with a non-traditional and diverse customers and employee population. Effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, partners and employees. Exercise good judgment and focus on detail. Follow oral and written instructions and procedures. Collect, organize and interpret data and prepare accurate records. Communicate in English effectively orally and in writing. Maintain well-organized materials, files, systems and tools. Adapt to changes in work situations and priorities. Establish and maintain constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with employees, peers, supervisors or managers in the work unit and other departments, as well as with employees of outside entities and other individuals, as applicable to the essential duties and responsibilities.
